The larvae of 𝘈𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘢 𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘴𝘢 (New Zealand glowworms) hang sticky silk threads in caves and glow blue-green to attract flying insects. When insects fly toward the light, they get stuck on the threads and the larva pulls them in.
Their glow is part of a predation snare, not just decoration!
👉 Would you step into a cave glowing with thousands of tiny bug lanterns if you knew they were traps? Comment yes if you’d be brave enough!
