Описание: Watch our new video about graphic design in film! Hi everyone, This is Laz Here! In this video we will talk about the use of graphic design in the movie industry! Yes, there are artists out there whose jobs are to do graphic design for movies! Crazy, huh? It is a legitimate profession which not a lot of people seem to be knowing about, but as you can imagine, movies are huge productions, the collaborations of hundreds of people at a time, to create a very visual product, so of course, there is a legitimate place for graphic design in tv and film!
In terms of graphic design work in the movie business we can talk about two branches – there is pre-production design and post production design. Post production design work is what we all familiar with – these are the big & shouty marketing materials which a tv show or a movie needs, once its out there –posters, logos, banner ads, trailers, and so on.
But in this video I want to talk about the art of film, focusing on pre-production design. The intricate movie design work that is hidden in plain sight on the screen –stuff which usually just fly over our heads, -whenever a movie character picks up a newspaper, or a letter or walks by a window signage – all of these are props which have been designed by graphic artists. We will talk about iconic filmmakers such as Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson, and J.K Rowling's Wizarding world, and their approach to how to design a fictional world on the screen.
