Probably the most exciting milestone for me was getting the motor in. I’ve been using laser cut acrylic parts to check fit and installation clearance, before committing to designing and making parts in aluminium or steel. The plastic development parts seem good enough to handle a joy ride up the ‘jalan’! Everything appears to fit just right this time, I’ve managed to get the hole centres fairly accurate. The OCD in me was strong that day, so it was ‘measure 10 times, laser cut once’.
