In Psalm 110 David refers to someone he calls "my Lord" to whom the Lord spoke telling him to sit at His right hand until He had made his enemies a footstool for his feet. He promises this Lord absolute victory and says that He (God) has sworn an irrevocable oath that he(the Lord to whom He has spoken) is a priest forever - after the order of Melchizedek or Malki Tzedek is it appears in Hebrew. This Melchizedek is a mysterious king who blessed Abraham and whom we read of again in the book of Hebrews. Yeshua also referred to this psalm asking the pharisees and others who had sought unsuccessfully to catch him out, if the son of David was the Messiah, how then does he call him Lord?
Here is my musical interpretation of this amazing psalm, which I am singing in the original Hebrew. David Bogenrief is playing trumpet and Johannes Stark has brought to it his creative visual interpretation.
