As part of the restoration of my Monarch 16" Model K lathe, we completely took the apron apart, including all of the gears and bearings. The bearings were in bad shape and will need to be replaced due to some oil lines being stopped up on the carriage resulting in poor lubrication. Also, the worm gear that powers the feed is severely worn and will also need to be replaced. This video is all about how I went about taking the apron apart.
