Quarterback DJ Lagway threw for 280 yards, and the Gators’ defense made the game-winning play when defensive tackle Michai Boireau intercepted a pass from Blake Shapen in the final seconds to secure the victory.

Despite strong outings from Shapen (324 yards passing) and Davon Booth (105 yards, 2 TDs), the Bulldogs came up just short, extending their SEC losing streak to 15 games. Florida’s young secondary — missing multiple starters — stepped up when it mattered most, preserving the home win and a much-needed confidence boost.

Up Next: Mississippi State returns home to host No. 21 Texas, while Florida enters a bye week before facing No. 9 Georgia in Jacksonville.
