Little Esther Philips first recordings were made in 1950 when she was just 15 years old and working with Johnny Otis.with releases on both the Modern record label and Savoy. Leaving Johnny Otis laterr htat same year she was signed to Federal where she recorded around 30 tracks, of which this was the first one in 1951.
