US President Donald Trump has unloaded on comedian and HBO host Bill Maher in a blistering Truth Social post.
Trump blasted Maher as a "jerk" and called his White House visit a "total waste of time."
"Sometimes in life you waste time!" Trump wrote.
"He was extremely nervous, had ZERO confidence in himself and, to soothe his nerves, immediately, within seconds, asked for a 'Vodka Tonic.' He said to me, 'I've never felt like this before, I'm actually scared.' In one respect, it was somewhat endearing!"
The president took aim at the comedian over his comments mocking Trump for suggesting that closer economic ties between China and Canada could mean the end of professional hockey in Canada.
He argued that Maher is "no different" than Kimmel, Fallon, or Colbert, and only "slightly more talented."
