Mir Raza Case: No JIT? Police Confirm Murder, Investigation Restarted From Scratch

During proceedings before the Sindh High Court, the current investigating officer told the court that the investigation team believes Mir Raza was murdered and that the case is not being treated as suicide.

According to the investigating officer, the probe was restarted from scratch, digital evidence is being examined, and a spent bullet casing has been recovered from the crime scene. However, the weapon has still not been recovered, while key forensic and medical reports remain awaited.

At the same time, the Sindh High Court has reserved its decision on the family’s petition seeking the formation of a multi-agency Joint Investigation Team. Mir Raza’s family argues that the judicial commission and a criminal investigation serve different purposes, while the Sindh government has opposed the demand for a JIT at this stage.
