Scuffles have broke out in front of the main offices of the Pakistan's People Party (PPP) in Islamabad on Wednesday (6/11) in what is believed to be the first public protest against the sacking on Tuesday of prime minister Benazir Bhutto. Local journalists estimated that thousands of people were involved in the ugly scenes with riot police beating supporters of Bhutto. Journalists trying to cover the event were also harrassed by riot police.
