Описание: See a birds-eye view of the modern day version of what was Crewe/Doncaster/Derby or Swindon in years gone by - This is Hitachi's Railway manufacturing works in Newton Aycliffe in County Durham.

This works/factory has been responsible for the manufacture of the Class 80x units & rolling stock that are rapidly becoming the staple for all of the major mainlines across the UK.

LNER and GWR are fully established with Class 80x units. 2023-2024 will see the Midland Mainline and West Coast Mainline next with EMR and Avanti West Coast units now out on test.

Hitachi also won the tender via a JV with Alstom for the supply of rolling stock for HS2.

The units produced by this works are standardising the UK mainlines and sadly removing the variety that has existed across different mainlines across the UK.

See views of where the Class 80x are produced with a few class 805 and 807 units pending testing/delivery.
