Описание: Ryan shares his journey of being diagnosed with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) and going on to co-direct and produce a feature-length documentary, Forgotten Plague, about the disease. In this talk, he discusses that it is vital to have a seemingly irrational hope in the face of what can feel like utter hopelessness. “There is a light somewhere,” Ryan says. “It may not be much light, but it beats the darkness.” He is the founder of the Blue Ribbon Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors of the national grassroots organization ME Action Network
