I put together one longer video that walks through our main seed blends, what’s in them, which birds they attract, and how to choose the right one for your yard.
One thing that surprises a lot of people is that not all bird seed is created equal.
Wild Birds Unlimited seed blends are 100% edible, which means birds eat everything in the feeder. Many typical big-box store mixes contain a lot of filler, and only about 27% of the seed is what birds actually want. The rest often gets kicked out of the feeder and ends up on the ground.
So even if a bag looks cheaper, a lot of what you’re paying for may never get eaten.
