These are “La Pistola” from Arnette, a full-rim, plastic frame, wraparound pair of sunglasses for men. Arnette started in California in 1992, and not surprisingly, their products are aimed at surfers and skaters, but you don’t need to live in the Golden State to enjoy these shades.
They’re thick and chunky but also lightweight and durable, with 66mm grey polycarbonate lenses that offer 100% UV protection and a high level of impact resistance. The lenses are also polarized meaning they reduce glare and maintain great visual clarity and color contrast.
The frames have a highly stylized contour on the temple pieces, which also feature the brand logo at the hinge. Speaking of the hinges, they’re completely internal, so you’ll never feel any sharp metal on your face. The model only comes in black, but you can get the lenses in a couple of different colors, these being grey, but you can also get them in green, although the green lenses are not polarized.
