Whitney was (and still is) one of my biggest vocal influences, and I wanted to do a somewhat subdued & respectful version of her iconic song--keeping it acoustic, stripped down, and vulnerable to pay my respects.
I think it's obvious that no one could ever sing this song like she could back in the day, but I hope you can appreciate this cover for what it is: a tribute to a beautiful, troubled, and extremely talented woman.
Rest in peace, Whitney. You are loved.
