WorkSafe’s WorkWell program prioritizes mental health and well-being in Victorian workplaces. To do this, WorkWell funded 30 project partners through Learning Networks and the Mental Health Improvement Fund to develop and trial workplace mental health interventions. These projects aim to build the evidence base to understand what influences system-level change to prevent mental injuries and create safe and mentally healthy workplaces.
This project was led by Convenience Advertising in partnership with the Institute for Breathing and Sleep (IBAS) and Monash University. The project aimed to address work-related factors that influence the mental health of workers in the manufacturing industry. As a result, the project delivered three interventions to identify and address fatigue-related safety risks in two cohorts of shift workers at Hazeldene’s Chicken Farm – professional truck drivers and those working in the spin-chill food processing area.
