Newest Korg Synth Unboxing. Vocoder Test

15 years ago, I wanted to get a Korg Microkorg—already a legendary synth even back then. Trentemøller used it in his outstanding 2006 album The Last Resort. So, naturally, I thought I needed it too. But then I wondered why not the Korg R3? It’s newer, with more features. Actually, why not go all the way and get the Radias? A full-fledged synth with a front panel, while the R3 is essentially a scaled-down Radias. I ended up getting the Radias and was happy with it.
And now, 15 years later, I’ve finally gotten my hands on the Microkorg 2. I’ll be making lots of presets for it. The second version is no longer tied to the MS2000 or Radias lineage. The Microkorg 2 is part of the Wavestate family. Not bad at all. But still, I’ve never actually owned the original Microkorg 😔
