The NYC Health Department is offering free Rat Academy trainings to help New Yorkers learn how to safely and effectively manage rodent problems in their buildings and neighborhoods.

These two-hour community courses teach practical prevention methods — perfect for superintendents, property owners, community gardeners, and local businesses. Classes are available both in-person and online, with upcoming sessions in Brooklyn and virtual options in December.

For professionals, there’s also a three-day intensive course with certification and continuing education credits.
