[Touch Free Cycle, Inside View] Mark VII ChoiceWash XT: Lake Street Car Wash

I’m back in Bristol NH for my yearly trip to Newfound Lake! Of course, I wanted to check up on some of the car washes nearby. Mainly revisits and retakes, but you’ll be surprised with some washes, as a few have gotten updates done to them.

The first wash I wanted to check up on was the Lake Street Car Wash. the last time I filmed this wash was back in 2022 I believe? It has been 3 years since I last filmed this wash doing both the soft touch and touch free cycles, so I felt like I needed to get a retake of the wash preforming both cycles again.

I first filmed this wash back in 2018 and back then, it had a INCREDIBLY rare AUTEC EV-2 touch free system. This was a system that didn’t last long with AUTEC as around the same time, they released the ATF1 (another incredibly rare system that they are still making to this day) and my guess is that they discontinued the EV-2 because the ATF-1 has less moving parts than the EV-2.

Sadly, like most washes in NH have been doing, they ripped out the EV-2 and replaced it with a Mark VII ChoiceWash XT in late 2018. Many washes here in NH use these systems, mainly at Circle T sites, but there are a handful of other washes that use them. Most replaced older AUTEC systems (another EV-2 or soft touch machines) or Belanger systems.

Comments: this is still a great wash to go to if you are in the Bristol NH area! Does a great job and it’s open 24/7 too which is nice.
