Skoda Kushaq Summary
Skoda has priced the Kushaq from Rs 10.89 lakh to Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

It is being offered in six distinct variants: the Classic, which comes exclusively with a single petrol-manual option; the Onyx, which introduces automatic transmission; the Signature, beginning from here you have the option of two turbo-petrol engine options with both manual and automatic transmission choices; the new Sportline which incorporates some blacked-out design elements and the higher-end Monte Carlo and Prestige variants.

The most value-for-money variant of the Kushaq is the Signature, which includes features like a 10-inch infotainment system, ambient lighting, automatic AC, and a cooled glove box. However, if you want your SUV to have a sunroof, you might want to extend your budget for the Prestige variant, which offers premium features such as a sunroof, a digital driver’s display, ventilated seats, and a wireless phone charger.

However, if you want a sportier-looking car at a similar budget, you can spend some more to have your hands on the Sportline variant which features a blacked-out grille, alloy wheels and a boot lip spoiler.

The Skoda Kushaq is available with two turbo-petrol engine options, both paired with a manual transmission. Additionally, there are two automatic transmission choices, allowing you to select the one that best suits your driving style and needs.

A 1-litre turbo-petrol engine: This engine produces 115 PS and 178 Nm and comes with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque converter.

A 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine: This engine puts out 150 PS of power and 250 Nm, paired exclusively with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

The claimed mileage of the 2024 Kushaq varies depending on the engine and transmission you choose. Here's a quick summary:

1-litre turbo-petrol MT: 19.76 kmpl
1-litre turbo-petrol AT: 18.09 kmpl
1.5-litre turbo-petrol DCT: 18.86 kmpl

Safety features vary by variant, but all variants get six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX child anchorages, hill hold control, traction control system, and a rear-view camera. Kushaq scored a full five stars in Global NCAP. However, it is yet to be crash-tested by Bharat NCAP.

The Kushaq is available in eight colour options: Candy White, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, Tornado Red, Lava Blue (available on select variants), Deep Black (available on select variants), Candy White With Carbon Steel, and Tornado Red With Carbon Steel.

The Monte Carlo trim gets two dual-tone colours: Candy White and Tornado Red, both with a black roof. The Sportline variant gets four dual-tone colour options: Candy White, Tornado Red, Brilliant Silver and Lava Blue, all of which get a black roof, while a Deep Black colour is also available with a white roof.
The Deep Black colour looks great on the Kushaq.

The Skoda Kushaq competes with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Honda Elevate, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, and Citroen Aircross. The Mahindra Scorpio Classic is a rugged alternative to this compact SUV. Both the Tata Curvv and Citroen Basalt will also be stylish SUV-coupe alternatives to the Kushaq.
