www.amplifiednation.com The Steel String Sultan is the 100w 6L6 version of our Steel String Signer. The preamps are exactly the same, but we have omitted a few features to pack this powerhouse into a 19″ chassis! This is a very powerful, punchy amp, that is crisp and clean all the way up the dial, just like it’s bigger 150w version. The 6L6 power section gives a bit of a more ‘guitar amp’ feel, while still capturing some of the hi-fi qualities of the big SSS.
We took out the preamp boost, and also the FET, but can add them back in without issue. The best part about the Steel String Sultan is it’s smaller footprint, allowing you to play on top of a normal 1×12 cab, but still providing that roaring ‘clean lead’ SSS sound. The power section has the cathode follower that really kicks your clean tones up a notch! We can also do this in 50w or 100 with half power.
