Improve your conversational Persian/Farsi with this dialogue

Today, we're practicing a little conversational Persian 🤩 I know from teaching English that sometimes these conversations can be a little awkward, but I created this dialogue imagining I was speaking to my cousin- what I would say to her and how she'd respond. We'll be using the past tense to talk about what we did over the weekend. The weekend in Iran is Friday, but I used Saturday/Sunday in the dialogue since it's probably more practical for you. I also used some typical Persian interjections so it sounds more natural. I wrote about these interjections several years ago in a blog post (along with audio) here:

I'll read the whole dialogue first and point out a few big differences between written and spoken Persian as well as some cultural notes. Then it's your turn! We'll read the conversation together twice, switching roles after the first time.

💡Tip: Pay attention to my intonation and how I say the phrases, and then copy the rhythm when it's your turn. It's really beneficial to help you sound more natural.
