🎛️ Build a REAL PWM Circuit from Scratch – No Arduino, No Code!
In this video, I walk you through the complete steps of designing a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) circuit using a 555 timer and creating its PCB layout in Altium Designer. This project is ideal for controlling LEDs, motors, or other electronic loads!
Key Highlights:
555 Timer Configuration:
How to set up the 555 timer in Astable Mode to generate PWM signals.
Role of resistors (R1, R2), capacitors (C1, C2, C3), and a potentiometer (POT1) in adjusting frequency and duty cycle.
Schematic Design:
Connecting the 555 timer to an IRF540 MOSFET for load control (T1).
Adding protection diodes (D1, D2, D3) to prevent voltage spikes.
PCB Layout in Altium Designer:
