In this video I want to look at what gives legitimacy to authority figures in liberal societies. Legitimacy is a concept every regime has to incorporate into its philosophy to make their authority acceptable to the general population; however, each regime does this differently. In this video I will discuss one of the main methods though which liberalism decides on who should rule and why.
