ROADVIEW Demo 2: V2X Collective Perception

Описание: This video demonstrates how a roadside sensing unit enhances a vehicle’s perception using V2X technology. The onboard vehicle camera is shown on the top right of the video, while the roadside camera is shown on the bottom right of the video. On the left, the map displays the shared V2X information. As the demo vehicle approaches a junction, the roadside system detects pedestrians and nearby vehicles and shares this information through V2X collective perception messages. Even when the pedestrians are temporarily hidden by an oncoming car, the vehicle receives early warnings from the roadside unit before its own sensors can detect them. This early awareness allows the vehicle to adjust its speed sooner, improving safety for vulnerable road users, especially in low visibility or adverse weather conditions.
