The Harley Davidson Iron 883 is just crying out to be tuned. We fitted Vance & Hines Short Shots and an open filter to the 883 and developed the remap (ECU flash) to get the fueling right. We gained an increase of 13bhp from 43bhp to 56bhp at the back wheel. Road testing the Sportster showed the bike responded instantly to throttle inputs, a big improvement to the standard bike's lazy throttle response.
This is a brief insight into what's involved in the development of our remaps.
