Mooshika, the little mouse, is the vehicle (Vaahana) of Lord Ganesha. In Hindu symbolism, the mouse represents the restless human mind and worldly desires that move swiftly in all directions. Lord Ganesha seated upon the Mooshika signifies wisdom, awareness, and the ability to guide and control these impulses.
This Bharatanatyam presentation depicts Lord Ganesha riding his Mooshika Vaahana, celebrating the symbolic imagery found in devotional literature and temple traditions.
Presented as part of Thandavotsavam 2026, during the Maha Shivaratri celebrations at Sharadambal Temple, Farmington Hills, Michigan.
