First Solo Sail on Blush our new to us 1989 Oyster Lightwave 395 February 2023 Devon
This video runs till the battery beeps and closes down on the camera at the end. I shot it so I could see how moving around the boat and going through the steps worked out in light to moderate conditions.
With 1 reef in the main and wind from 12-20kts max speed was 8.4kts, with a comfortable regular range 6.5-7.5kts.
Having previously had a rather frantic sail together in 30kts following launch a few weeks before - it was a relief to have a greater sense of control. I also aced single handed trot mooring on the day.
