Eburu has many amazing stories. To begin with, the town lies on a high altitude above sea level and thus it is cold, unlike the low lying neighbouring town of Naivasha.
The majority of the locals are Kikuyu but you cannot miss traces of the Masai, Turkana and kalenjin communities.
In the early 50s white settlers settled their and they used the main available land resource and the steam that comes from beneath the service of the earth.
The locals have turned the steam to mineral drinking water,by condensing the steam. The white settlers used to use the steam to dry pyrethrum.
The mau mau also had caves there. This small town has rich history. You definitely have to visit Eburu.
