ప్రతి నృత్యం కళాకారిణి జీవితంలో ఇది చాలా పవిత్రమైన క్షణం. ఎన్నో నెలల కృషి తర్వాత కాళ్ళకి మువ్వలు కట్టుకొని నాట్య ప్రయాణం మొదలు పెట్టడం ... మువ్వల పూజ అనేది నర్తకి వేదికపై నర్తించే ముందే నిర్వహించే ఆచారం సాంప్రదాయ పద్ధతిలో నటరాజ కి , మువ్వలకు పూజ చేసి నర్తకి మొదటి ప్రదర్శనను దేవునికి అంకితం చేసి నర్తకిగా అంకురార్పణ చేస్తారు.

షడశ్రీ మంత్రం ఓం నమఃశివాయ లో నటరాజ కొలువై వుంటాడు‌ కనుక ఆరు కోణాలు ముగ్గు మీద బియ్యం పోసి నటరాజ విగ్రహం ప్రతిష్ఠించాలి...8 అడుగుల లో ఎదురుగా ఎనిమిది కోణాలు ముగ్గు మీద ( ఓం నమో నారాయణాయః ) బియ్యం పోసి నర్తకి కాళ్ళకి మువ్వలు కట్టి గణపతి కౌత్వం తో మృదంగం కి అణుగుణంగా బియ్యం మీద అడుగులు వేయించడం పురాతన సాంప్రదాయం..

టెంపుల్ డ్యాన్స్ " కాకతీయుల కాలంలో నిర్మించిన నాట్య మండపంలో మువ్వల పూజ యొక్క సాంప్రదాయ పద్ధతిని అనుసరించి పురాతన నృత్యసంప్రదాయాన్ని పునరుజ్జీవింపజేస్తుంది.

In every dancer's life, this is a very auspicious moment. After months of effort, tying the anklets and starting the dance journey is very precious. Muvvala pooja is the ritual performed before the Dancer gets on the public platform where the guru performs pooja to the anklets in a traditional way and offers the anklets to the dancer to dedicate her first performance to God. The Temple Dance followed the very traditional manner of Muvvala Pooja on Natya Mandapa reviving the ancient tradition of dance and celebrating the festival of divinity and joy.
The Temple Dance congratulates Shivani on her muvvala pooja and we are honoured and proud that Shivani is the first student from our school of fine arts to perform Muvvala Pooja. We wish her more endeavours and we believe Shivani will make The Temple Dance proud.
