Telangana is set to get a new airport at Warangal Mamnoor, in addition to Shamshabad and Begumpet airports. The long-pending Mamnoor Airport project is finally moving forward, with land acquisition fully completed and preparations underway for the ground-breaking ceremony.

As per reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy are expected to perform the bhoomi puja in January. The Telangana government aims to complete the airport by the end of 2027, equipping it with state-of-the-art facilities to boost regional connectivity.

A total of 950 acres of land has been handed over to the Airport Authority of India, with farmers receiving compensation of ₹1.20 crore per acre without legal hurdles. The Warangal airport is expected to accelerate growth in North Telangana, attract investments, enhance tourism to iconic sites like Ramappa Temple (UNESCO site), and generate thousands of employment opportunities.
