INTERPRETATION (1):
The lyrics can be interpreted by someone seing a baby of the same blood (relative) inside the womb - who never got to see the light yet. So the protagonist feels anger and pain because the light might kill the baby with all the metaphors from life itself. "Frozen in heaven" because the newborn didn't stepped on this crazy world yet. He is just floating in the darkness. This song lyrics is so ahead of its time. It can mean lots of things at once depending on your perspective. This song is so amazing and it does have a window opened for different interpretations.

INTERPRETATION (2):
The protagonist is feeling lost and trapped in darkness, unsure if he/she is conscious or unconscious. He/she has had experiences of flying and reaching for the sun (some goal OR DREAM perhaps), but the brightness (reality) burned the eyes. He/she feels as though he/she is frozen in heaven (matrix, comfort zone?), and darkness surrounds him/her. The chorus repeats "And I saw my own face in the dark and loneliness" symbolizing the deep emotional pain the protagonist feels.
