KTM Freeride E-XC Meets the Motocross Track (and Generator)

Описание: KTM Freeride E-XC Motocross Track debut. This was a much anticipated day for me. I was wondering how the KTM Freeride E-XC would handle the small motocross track. I knew the suspension wouldn't be ideal after riding my KTM 350 EXC there, but I was a little more disappointed than I expected.

After stiffening up my fork springs two rates and swapping out the 4w fork oil with 7w, I expected the suspension to handle it all a little bit better. It didn't. In the non-jump areas and even big bumps it really didn't perform too poorly, but on the moderately high speed jumps it just blew through the travel like the suspension wasn't even there.

I'm excited to send the Freeride EXC suspension off after this week to maximize what it is.

As far as the bike just getting the work done... despite it's short comings. it clocked faster lap times of avg than my 350EXC or 250SX. The bike settles into the ground so well and the traction and throttle is so smooth it allows the little Freeride to brake later and accelerate sooner so make up a lot of the speed that was lost from not jumping.

Some people will bash on me for not jumping it, but i really didn't want to destroy the weels on it for no reason. My KTM 350 EXC lost a wheel to the big more or less flat landers. the guy in the opening clip lost a wheel about an hour into the day. .
