After months of Easterly winds and five cancelled trips, members of Baywater Anglers and myself finally managed to have a day afloat on the African Queen, skippered by Alan Hemsley. Clutching a variety of rods and with a very nervous Rafa aboard for his first ever boat fishing trip, we were soon heading for Start Point, intending to anchor up for an interesting day’s reef fishing. This is how we got on.
