Ultra-fast piles turbocharge China's EV infrastructure expansion

Описание: With China's electric vehicle fleet rapidly growing, cities around the country are racing to roll out ultra-fast and innovative charging stations to meet surging demand.

In the southern Chinese tech hub Shenzhen, construction is nearly complete on a 61-stall, ultra-fast charging hub that’s equipped with vehicle-to-grid technology.

That means that EVs can both draw power from and feed energy back into the grid, potentially letting drivers earn money by selling excess electricity during peak hours.

Elsewhere, in east China’s Ningbo City, a solar-powered ultra-fast public charging station can add one kilometer of range to your vehicle every second.

And beyond ultra-fast charging stations, another trend sweeping China's EV scene is semi-automated mobile charging stations.

In one impressive installation in the city of Suzhou, small units with drop-down nozzles glide along overhead tracks, bringing the charging pile straight to your parked car.
