The Herald Sun in Melbourne, has reported that a Comanchero bikie, has been accused of launching a brutal attack on two prison officers at Melbourne’s Metropolitan Remand Centre, an incident which is being described as one of the worst cases of jailhouse violence against Victorian prison staff in years. The alleged attacker is Richard Ene, a Comanchero enforcer, who is currently the focus of a police investigation. According to the report published in the Herald Sun, the violent assault occurred inside a cell at Ravenhall Prison, around 4 PM on Saturday 15th March 2025, leaving the two officers unconscious after they were attacked without warning. Both officers were knocked to the ground and stomped on, during the relentless attack, and the attack was described as horrific. This assault ended only when a colleague and special operations officers intervened and pulled the prisoner away. Both injured officers were rushed to hospital with serious upper-body injuries, while a third officer also received on-site treatment from paramedics.
