Aquascaping Lab by Tommaso Perini and Serena Sacchi, presents a video review and test on the "Chihiros Doctor", a very important accessory for planted aquariums and populated by fishes and invertebrates.

FUNCTIONING:
From much time we hear about this sterilizer tool, used initially by experienced aquascaper, but now also from beginners who want to start a proper biosystem inside our tank populated by animals and plants. The main concern of any aquarist is the fishes health and the management of plant growth at the expense of algae; the "Chihiros Doctor" is a great help when integrated to the essential precautions, will prevent and inhibit diseases and algae formation at startup and over the aquarium life. The "Chihiros Doctor" composed by a reactor, controlled by an external control unit, releases active oxygen by electrolysis, releasing positive and negative ions and acting on the water redox potential, active trace elements that promote the growth of plants at the expense of the algae. Destroys olso the algae in suspension, pathogenic bacteria and has a positive effect on the skin and gills, mucous membranes and gastrointestinal tract of fish and shrimp. The models available on the market are 7 and different one by one, they work automatically 24 hours a day thanks to preset algorithm, they change by liters of the tank and if our priorities will be plants or health of fish and shrimp.

The models are:
MINI, NANO and SUPER: for nano, medium and large planted aquariums up to 600 liters.
MINI S, NANO S, SUPER S: for nano, medium and large aquariums up to 600 liters, where our priority will be health and welfare of fishes.
SHRIMP: for aquariums up to 120 liters dedicated to caridina, Amano shrimp, Neocaridina, Japonica.

PACKAGING, DESCRIPTION AND INSTALLATION:
Inside the product is present the instructions and for use, where is written to the various settings depending by the aquarium size, we find immediately the computer unit with the ignition and setting botton, and the 3 led that indicate the modes aveable, near the diffuser-reactor, a little bit bulky but very elegant. Under the packaging there are all connection cables and with transformer and UK or EU, are present olso suckers that will be used to attack comuper unit outside of the tank and reactor inside. If you are wondering where is the reservoir for the reagent material, you must to know that does not exist, becaouse it works electrically, so in addition to a light and rarely cleaning of the reactor, you will not need maintenances, only if happen technical problems or breakage. The installation must be carried far from water extractor and on the lower part of the tank, so the flow of reaction product will be more efficent, plug to the electric current, press the power button and it will work byself.

OPINIONS:
After testing the product, we can say that very efficent and really good, especially for value for money (much lower than other similar brands) the price is around 65 €, definitely a good investment.
Up thumb for the company that with this second edition has improved the reactor material, in the previous version is caked easily and stopped responding, however this has a far greater duration .
We must to say that you should not expect miracles, indeed will be your job let work optimally, so we recommend that immediately after the very planted aquarium start; wait for the purification of dust, and then install the "Chihiros Doctor ", insert algae eater fishes such Otocinclus or Siamensis, Caridina Japonica, Military Helmet Neritina Pulligera, and after 8 -10 days start a balanced fertilization and increasing CO2. It must not be used for Reef, marine aquariums or pre-treated water with salt to cure diseases.
