Although the season has had its ups and downs for Gobert, he has still provided the Wolves with lockdown defense and one of the best help defenders in the league.
Rudy has proven throughout the season that whilst on the court other teams struggle to score and teams have a much easier time when he goes to the bench. This is evident by his presence on the court with most lineups resulting in a drastic change in defensive rating.
It's safe to say that Gobert's addition over the offseason hasn't lived up to expectations but history would suggest that when Towns goes out with an injury the Wolves don't win games.
The Wolves will now finish above .500 in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2003-04 and this in no short part of Gobert.
