Abandoned: KJ's Market/BI-LO - West Columbia, SC

Описание: What's good everyone?! Today's video features a look at an abandoned KJ's Market in West Columbia, SC. This location was also home to a BI-LO, as is made clearly evident by the facade of the building. This design was common for BI-LO throughout the Carolinas and other markets. The chain was parented by Southeastern Grocers, which ultimately pulled the plug on them in 2021 to focus on its other chains such as Winn Dixie and Harvey's. Many BI-LO locations were purchased by Food Lion or Lowe's Foods, but some of them, as seen in this video, were used by other chains such as KJ's. This location closed as a BI-LO, and transitioned into KJ's in early 2021. It operated as such until July 8, 2025 when it closed permanently. I could find little information about the store's closure, including why it closed. It leaves behind a building in rough shape, and an eyesore off of a busy road in the city. A Walmart Supercenter is located behind the shopping center, so presumably grocery isn't hard to come by even with this store's closure.
