If you have a shirt that is too tight around the chest or waist area, try refashioning it by adding some godets into the side seams of your shirt. The godets will add ease to your shirt where you need it, plus they give the shirt a unique modern look.
I used Dritz Clear Elastic (3/8 inch) for this refashion:
