At least 50% marks in:
1) Bachelor’s Degree and/or
Master’s Degree in Sciences / Social Sciences / Commerce / Humanities
OR
2) Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology with specialization in Science & Mathematics with 55% marks

Additionally, candidates must belong to one of the following categories:

1. Trained in-service teachers in elementary education
2. Candidates who have completed an NCTE-recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode
