Dr. Ferenc Dalnoki-Veress, Scientist-in-Residence (or Science-Interpreter-in-Residence) at CNS and holds an MSc and PhD in high energy physics from Carleton University, Canada, specializing in ultra-low radioactivity background detectors and has professional experience in the field of astroparticle physics, primarily neutrino physics. He has been involved in several major discoveries in the field of neutrino physics and has worked on several large international collaborations and has contributed to more than 40 referred and non-refereed publications. During his time in the 'neutrino business' he spent a lot of time in laboratories deep underground. He later joined Princeton University physics department, then their Program on Science and Global Security and now he is fully above ground working at MIIS/CNS. He is one of many who are interested in taking nuclear weapons apart since he first learned about their existence.
Cervando Cervando Antonio Bañuelos II holds a Bachelor's of Science in Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Health Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2013. His experiences include interning as a health physicist at a radiological clinic in Spain, modeling reactor core cooling systems in boiling water reactors in Fukushima type conditions, and is currently a first year graduate research assistant at CNS/MIIS. He has extensive experience in using SCALE/ORIGIN-ARP, RELAP5 for modelling nuclear reactors, and other computer, modelling programs.
