There's also the super successful animated movie, as well as the perhaps somewhat ill-fated live action/CGI remake. You'll find images of Simba, Mufasa, Timon and Pumbaa on anything from coffee mugs to lunchboxes, to book bags, t-shirts, and even underwear. If, however, you are one of the very few human beings who has not yet experienced the spectacle which is The Lion King (or worn a pair of ever so stylish Lion King undies!), the story is about a lion pup who, as it seems, just can't wait to be king. Thusly, the title of the song I'm covering in this video is "I Just Can't Wait to Be King." It's a bouncy little tom groove with an exciting Flexatone solo in the bridge section. A Flexatone is, as I'm sure you're very well aware, a highly sophisticated percussion instrument which, when shaken vigorously, produces one of the most angelic sounds known to humankind. The skill necessary to perform this short but ever so impressive solo is almost beyond human comprehension.
