Hello BMW fans! In this video, we're resealing the low-pressure exhaust system on this BMW X5 G05 M50Dx with a B57 diesel engine.
There are essentially two reasons for this request: the first is the smell of exhaust gases in the cabin, and the second is an engine malfunction. The first pressure test revealed a leak somewhere in the exhaust system, and a second pressure test with the engine removed pinpointed the joint.
To perform this type of work on a B57 with two or four turbos, and many other jobs as well, the engine must be removed, making the procedure extensive and therefore expensive.
