I don't think Tommy has a website up yet so you'll have to track him down through The Gear Page. He goes by the name of Lumpy's Tone Shop. Or you could try emailing him directly at [email protected].
You might have seen my LTS MKIII video a couple of months back. Well, here's the first MKI video (the second will feature a Les Paul). And there's a MKI.V and MKII clip to follow. I love Tonebenders!
This clip was shot with a Telecaster housing Mick Brierley's amazing pickups.
The amp is a Laney Lionheart 5W Class A and I miked it with a Violet Design 'The Amethyst'. I use Macs and Logic to record the audio. There's a little bit of 'guitar plate' added with Waves Renaissance Reverb. But that's it. The basic sound is solid old-school rock and quality workmanship from Tommy.
I know I'm going to get asked to compare the Lumpy MKI with the Fuzzfaceless, so I'll get it over with now: The Fuzzfaceless is a little more subtle and handles a wah better. The LTS is an out and out rock animal that needs to be tamed. A Telecaster works well with it because it's lower output. A Les Paul, as you will hear, really ups the sag factor and sustains until the cows come home! They're both excellent, just different. :)
