Costs we paid: tongue roast (assado de lengua) Rs 400, sopa de ervilhas com pao de alho (pea soup with garlic bread) Rs 180, stew Rs 550, Goan bread basket Rs 50, sausage toasties Rs 300, bread, meat and wine cocktail Rs 850, roast pork (assado de porco) Rs 400, veg caldinho Rs 350, tarte de maca (apple pie) Rs 300, pudim de laranja (orange pudding) Rs 180

Ourém is a new restaurant, just opened in December 2024. It’s a fine dining Goan-Portuguese cuisine restaurant. They have outdoor seating also

We had heard that there are some extraordinary cocktails at Ourém

We always have fish and seafood so today we will focus on red meat

Jaya had green pea soup (sopa de ervilhas com pao de alho; Rs 180) and vegetarian caldine (Rs 350).

Roma had tongue roast (assado de lengua, Rs 400).

Maria had stew (Rs 550).

Lesley had assado de porco (roast pork, Rs 400).

We also tried torradas com chourico/ Sausage toasties (Rs 300)

And the cocktail, Bread, Meat and Wine (Rs 850)

Jaya liked her soup

The sausage toastie was simple Goan sausage and bread, but so different from the usual

The stew was really good. Traditional taste

The tongue roast had authentic green curry taste

The roast pork was nice and soft. The tongue also was so soft and well roasted. Too good to perfection

In dessert we tried apple tart and pudim de laranja (orange pudding)

The orange pudding was like a caramel tart. The apple tart was huge. Beautiful desserts
