Qantas engineers to strike on Monday over wage dispute

Описание: Qantas is reassuring passengers there will be no disruptions to flights despite ongoing industrial action by hundreds of its engineers.

The engineering staff, represented by the Alliance Unions, are demanding a 15 per cent payment in the first year to compensate for wage freezes over the past three-and-a-half years, along with a 5 per cent pay increase annually.

The airline says in a statement: “We have contingencies in place and don't expect Monday's planned strike action to have an impact on customers, or their travel plans.”
