This video is a personal tour and story about my life as a freelance videographer in Dubai. I start by showing my home, which is both my living space and my office. It’s a two-bedroom apartment in a residential area that costs about $2,200 per month, including utilities and internet. My daughter has her own room, while my room also doubles as my workspace.
I explain how I’ve been working in photo and video production for over 20 years. Even though I studied management at university, I’ve made my living through creativity since I was a student. Over time, I built a small team of editors and assistants who help me with projects, but I still consider myself a freelancer. My goal is to offer balanced services — not the cheapest, but with strong value thanks to my experience and full set of equipment.
I show my gear: cameras, lenses, lights, and accessories — all organized and ready for any shoot. Having my own equipment helps clients save money because they don’t need to rent anything separately. I also mention the costs behind the scenes — licenses, storage drives, car rental, and living expenses — things many people don’t see but are necessary to run a legal business in the UAE.
At the end, I give advice for those who want to move to Dubai: have at least 3–6 months of savings, expect high rent, and understand that competition is tough, especially from people ready to work for less money. Success depends not just on where you live, but on how hard and well you work.
