Live music, game stations, food trucks — and one artist in the middle of it all, sketching portraits live on an iPad.

At the summer party of Rödl & Partner, one of Germany’s most successful auditing and consulting firms, I was invited to draw guests for my project 1 Million Faces. It wasn’t just about capturing faces — it was about capturing energy, spontaneity, and smiles.

Somewhere between the last available Ribwich (the burgers were long gone!) and great conversations with the social media team, I managed to draw dozens of people — live, fast, and right in the moment.

It’s exactly these kinds of events that remind me why I started this journey:
Because a face is never just a face.
It’s a story. A connection. A memory.

About The Million Painter:
Phil Splash, known as "The Million Painter" of Germany, has set himself the ambitious goal of sketching one million people in his lifetime. His project has gained national attention in media outlets such as ZDF, RTL, Süddeutsche Zeitung, and BILD. As a quick-draw artist, he has performed sketch performances for prestigious brands like MacCosmetics, Hanro of Switzerland, Audi, and Calvin Klein and is available for high-caliber events worldwide.

Beim Sommerfest von Rödl & Partner, einem der erfolgreichsten Beratungs- und Wirtschaftsprüfungsunternehmen Deutschlands, durfte ich Gäste für mein Projekt 1 Million Faces portraitieren.
Dabei ging es nicht nur um Gesichter – sondern um Momente, Begegnungen und echte Emotionen.

Zwischen dem letzten Ribwich (die Burger waren natürlich längst weg 😅) und tollen Gesprächen mit dem Social-Media-Team entstanden viele kleine Kunstwerke – schnell, spontan und mitten im Geschehen.

Genau solche Abende zeigen mir, warum ich dieses Projekt gestartet habe:
Denn ein Gesicht ist nie nur ein Gesicht.
Es ist eine Geschichte. Eine Verbindung. Eine Erinnerung.

Phil Splash ist ein deutscher Künstler und Kreativtechnologe, der klassische Kunst mit neuen Medien verbindet.
