This was a first time for me, making a platinum ring from scratch using bits of scrap platinum. I've made loads of rings before, but from already formed metal, which is basically just bending and soldering. Melting and casting platinum was very different to other metals, I needed to wear welding glasses when heating it as it was blindingly white hot!
But I got there in the end, about a 6 hour process in total.
